It's probably not a good idea to watch this video for Down Boy by Yeah Yeah Yeahs unless you've got a shower nearby – because the song is filthy, the video is weirdly erotic and you'll probably want to clean yourself quite thoroughly when it's over.
Taken from their forthcoming Is Is EP, Down Boy was apparently written during a time of high emotional anxiety according to Yeah Yeah Yeahs. And in the world of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, emotional anxiety seems to equate to outright sordidness – albeit sordidness that sounds a little bit like Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand. Filmed in total darkness – with audience appearing to all be blindfolded – the video for Down Boy has been shot entirely in night vision, which makes for an interesting experience visually. Plus there's a naked person in it. Don't ask us if it's a boy or a girl, though, because we're way too inexperienced to tell.
