Watch The New Last House On The Left Trailer
It must be the simplest job in the world being a Hollywood producer.
Need an idea for a new movie? Well, just go into your loft and dust off any old video cassette tapes you have in there. You are sure to find some old relic to remake – just in case it wasn’t that good in the first place.
In fact, even if it was quite good – like Last House On The Left is – do it anyway.
Slasher movies from the Seventies and Eighties appear to be all the fashion now. In fact, we can’t wait for the remake of Chucky. Only joking. No, really.
It’s sure to generate publicity, mainly by people like us, who instantly get all frothy around the mouth and start ranting about Hollywood not having any fresh ideas. Of course, we’ll have to see it too.
Then, of course, there are the reviews comparing it to the original.
Well, the latest Seventies slasher movie to get the botox treatment is 1972 film Last House On The Left – a movie that launched the career of horror auteur Wes Craven.
And by the looks of the trailer – it’s not even in the same league as the original.
Judge for yourselves.
