At this exact moment in time, hecklerspray's favourite noisy-bastard band is The Bronx. Whatever The Bronx do is loud enough to be utterly indecipherable, angrier than Jade Goody in an Indian takeaway and more fun than a waterbomb fight all in one.
The Bronx's last single – the snappily-titled White Guilt – was a sleazy bundle of snakeskin LA rock that was as melodic as anything we can remember. Shitty Future, though, sees The Bronx working the other end of the spectrum. As you'd expect from a tune called Shitty Future, it sees The Bronx in phenomenally angry mode. Musically Shitty Future by The Bronx sounds like Queens Of The Stone Age would if Josh Homme stubbed his toe on the way into the studio. Lyrically there might be something about single mothers in there, but it's all shouted so furiously we're buggered if we can work it out. And it looks like The Bronx blew all their video budget on the White Guilt bunny costumes too, because the Shitty Future video is just a load of crowd-taped fan footage and nothing more. But, hey, some people like watching men who look like Jason Statham breaking microphones over their heads for 131 seconds.
