You know Steve Lamaq, the abnormally-thin BBC radio DJ? You know how he knows a lot about music and that? He says Duals are his favourite new band.
Duals are a five-piece set of upstarts from Leeds. They’ve only been together for a year, and yet their first single Potential Futures was embraced by both Lamaq and Zane Lowe: Steve Lamaq’s antipodean, slightly smugger cousin. Even though Duals don’t have an album out – or even recorded – yet, they’re selling out all kinds of venues. And their second single Pressure On You is out on Monday.
We’re not going to tell you what Pressure On You by Duals is like, because we have a video right here for you to both look at and listen to. Needless to say, the video features extensive use of the elderly and sounds a bit like My Life Story singing Cool For Cats.
