Most of the time, when a band wins a Grammy, it means that they have their express ticket to fat, bloated, lazy smugsville. Not Wilco, though.
Even though Wilco took home two Grammys this year, they’ve still managed to remain a ferocious live act. And that’s why they released the live double CD Kicking Television – taken from a gig they played earlier in their hometown of Chicago. And Jeff Tweedy says of it:
"It’s really the best it’s ever felt. I would say at this point, I don’t think I’ve ever been in a band that’s felt this connected and unified with the collective vision.â€
