Vivica A Fox Busted For Driving Like One Drunk Fool

Some people will do anything to keep their name in the public eye; like Vivica A Fox, who last night attempted to make up for not being in any decent films lately by driving around California drunk at 80mph swerving in and out of lanes willy-nilly.

According to reports, Vivica A Fox - star of Independence Day, Kill Bill and what appears to be one of the least competent breast-enlargement procedures in the history of cosmetic surgery - passed a marked police car on a California freeway at 80mph on Tuesday night while seemingly being unable to stay in one lane at a time. After being stopped by the police, Vivica A Fox failed to pass a sobriety test and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Vivica A Fox being arrested for drink-driving is exciting stuff, so just imagine how exciting it'd be if Vivica A Fox was even halfway famous.

Like a business, all good drink-driving arrests need a unique selling point. When Mel Gibson was arrested for driving under the influence, it was his weird views on Jews and Sugartits that got him press, Michelle Rodriguez asked to be shot in the head by her arresting officer, Haley Joel Osment was unusually young, somehow Daniel Baldwin managed to launch a parked car 20 feet into the air and Paris Hilton… well, who are we to turn down the chance of laughing at Paris Hilton? But lately we've been getting the impression that celebrities just aren't putting the effort into their drink-driving arrests.

Ray Liotta just bumped into some cars when he was arrested for driving under the influence, and if that wasn't bad enough now Vivica A Fox has been arrested for not even bumping into any cars at all while drunk, as Reuters reports:

Actress Vivica A. Fox, known for roles in movies such as "Independence Day" and "Kill Bill: Vol. 1," was arrested on suspicion for drunken driving in Los Angeles, police said on Wednesday. Fox, 42, was stopped late on Tuesday night on a freeway in her Cadillac sports utility vehicle after passing a marked police car going 80 mph (129 kph) — 15 miles faster than the speed limit. She also was unable to stay in the correct lane, according to the arrest report from the California Highway Patrol. After being stopped, the actress was unable to perform a sobriety test and her breath indicated a blood alcohol level over the legal limit of 0.08 percent, the report stated.

Now, you probably need explaining who Vivica A Fox is, because she barely even counts as famous. Vivica A Fox was the first woman to get killed in Kill Bill, and she's also had roles in Born On The Fourth Of July (as a prostitute) and Kim Possible: A Sitch In Time (as the voice of Future Monique, whatever the hell that is). But outside of making one semi-decent film every 14 years, Vivica A Fox has also been romantically linked to Oprah-hating 50 Cent and was the fourth person to be eliminated from the last season of Dancing With The Stars, which sort of makes Vivica A Fox the American version of Georgina Bouzova. And, no, we don't know who she is either.

Anyway, after failing her sobriety test, Vivica A Fox was apparently taken to a jail where she was breathalysed, cited on suspicion of driving under the influence and released. A court date has not yet been set for Vivica A Fox, but let's hope she looks lively and does something more exciting in the meantime, like filling herself up with prescription medicine and driving the wrong way up a motorway. If you're going to get arrested for driving around like a drunken arsehole, you may as well do it with a bit of style.
