Now, here at Hecklerspray sometimes even we have to hold our hands up and give begrudging praise where it is due.
So it is with a heavy heart that even we have to concede that Top Gear is a fantastic TV show. It’s so good even people who aren’t particularly interested in cars like it. For God’s sake, even our mums like it. It’s that good.
In fact, it’s so good, it can even afford to have that annoying, smug, pubic-haired twit Jeremy Clarkson in it – and still be good. It’s that good.
But don’t just take our word for it. Take a look at the show’s best moments and judge for yourselves. And if you have some suggestions of you own, please let us know.
14. Beating the Germans
OK, but beating the Germans should always be enjoyed.

Toyota – the Rasputin of pick-up trucks.

personally i love the challenges where they are given a budget and have to buy a car. The porche for under £1500 and the italian supercar for less than 10 grand are very very funny.
The home made limousine challenge should definitely have been featured in this list and also the people carrier convertible with the viscious barbary apes and car wash fiasco.
I’m glad you put in the turning cars into boats one. Hammonds useless barge was one of the funniest things i had seen all year.
This is one of the sickest shows ever!
what about the caravan one? totally beats out the American one. and ya the challenges are too funny.
Where’s the caravan episode? They blew up their damn caravan! That’s entertainment. Watching James try to turn around in the middle of the road or back the caravan into their space is just hilarious.
The other one I would have put on there would be the 4-way race through London (Jeremy, James, Richard and the Stig) with the Hamm-ster riding his bike.
And also, I’d like to apologize for the atrocity that is to become…Top Gear in America. There’s no way these 3 can be replaced by whoever they’ve picked. Adam Corolla I believe is one of them. I don’t know what cars they could possibly review here.
Where’s the road works episode, where they lay new tarmac on a country road in 24 hours…

i watch it all the time and it’s the funniest thing ever – so much so that i have a strange liking for jeremy clarkson, no matter how irritating and aroogant he is : )
There are so many fantastic moments, but how could you possibly leave out James May in the Bugatti Veyron? My wife and I cheered out loud when he topped that car out.
the caravan episode was brilliant and should be in this list.
Another one that is missing is the tractor challenge where they all bought a tractor and then went to plough a field. Pure entertainment.

The caravan episode… That should have been number one!
Top Gear is such a great show.
I personally love the legendary episode in which they raced an F1 car, Colin McRae in his rally car and the Ford Cougar driven by Clarkson himself. The timing for the ending of that race around Silverstern must have taken a few takes to get right. Can’t believe it’s not even in this list anywhere…?!?

My favourite was when Jeremy was testing the speed and handling of the Porshe Bocster & Merc SLK while being shot at an elite commando unit. Totally Awesome!
I LOVEE top gear.
But I actually like Jeremy. I like him the best out of the three ^_^.
my favourite skit is when he sets fire to the RV that was awesome!
I’m a compser for film and I find this cool site inspiratiion for car chase scenes. Very cool.
Personally the space shuttle Robin makes me chuckle and tingle at the same time. That one was the best IMO. I don’t have any problem with this list other than the order.
The crossing of Africa was a great one also, the testing of Soviet made cars, and of course the caravan too.
As an American, I don’t get the US one as number 1…Any more bacon?
