Max Von Syddow, as J. Joubert, at the beginning of the film 'The Three Days of The Condor' (1975) an assassin who wipes out an entire CIA filled house, in a similar manner to 'The Terminator' in the police station. Cool, detached and efficient, the most blood chilling kind. I believe he set the tone for Jean Reno in 'Leon'.

not even an honorable mention of George Clooney's character from 'The American'? That movie was pure class.

This has nothing to do with the list but I think the best movie on assassins has to be 'In Bruges'.

It's debatable, but didn't Nightcrawler start out as an assassin in X-2?

That was a good top ten. Comically? Desperado. Realistically? Collateral. Crazy? No Country for old men. Who wants to get killed by a freak gimp draging his dead leg around everywhere staring at you with messed up haircut, holding an air compressor and flipping a coin deciding which side will you live or die? Thats spooky. An assasin with class? Road to perdition. The most kills? Uma Thermon in Kill Bill. She killed most of the Crazy 88s. So they became instead of 88 there was only one left, she had one of the 88s on her knee spanked him and sent him back to his momma before she killed the rest. thats the only one that survived out of all of them. The most boring(my opinion, no offense) was Jason Bourne. i thought it was just a bunch of people following him from a tv screen, and tapping every electical thing around him, and sending people after him. And just filling it with cheesy predictable espionage. They did that throughout the whole trilogy.=( But i like your list anyway. You had a lot of good choices. I got mine but this isn't my page for my opinion of movies.

actually it is a remake, although based in a different time space. in fact if you didnt spot the similarities i'd say either you aint seen both films or its you thats the f****** retard.

first, theres the very obvious assasins name, the jackal.

second, theres the meeting to set up the job, rather than the oas, he meets a russian mob boss.

third, the use of false identities and make up.

fourth, in the first movie, the forger tries to blackmail him, in the second its the gun stand builder, both wind up dead.

fifth, in both films, the jackal hooks up with a gay guy to use his place for a hideout

sixth, in both films the jackal steals passports from a person in an airport.

both films are pretty much the same, but as with all remakes, there are differences. the new film has been americanised and rather basing the story in france, the story is usa based, with more up to date situations

How about you do your own research instead of trusting wiki and calling people names. Seriously, do you honestly say this shit in real life? I suppose none of you would admit to a person in real life you called someone a stupid fuck because they got something wrong about a movie... online.

Sad, sad people you are.

The list was good, I used to to pick an assassin movie because I was in the mood of one.
