Tom Jones To Return To Wales For His Birthday

Tom Jones (CDs) is to return to his home town in Wales for a huge concert to mark his 65th birthday.

KnickersThe growling, leather-trousered man’s man will sing in Pontypridd for the first time in 41 years tomorrow night. And, according to his interview with BBC Wales, he’ll have to try as hard as he can to stop crying all the way through it, like a big Welsh girl.

"I am emotional enough when I am in Cardiff, I will have to be careful not to get too emotional as your throat closes up and you can’t sing", said the big Welsh singing bear.

Tom will sing to 25,000 people at Ynysangharad park, and he wants to sing as many songs as he possibly can, although he’d be well advised to stay clear of anything from that weird album he did with Wyclef (CDs) a few years ago.

Tom ‘I was best mates with Elvis. I bloody well was’ Jones has hand-picked nine new local support bands for this huge one-off concert. They include Kute, Wonderbrass and DV-8, all of whom we’re sure are worth the admission price alone. Or something.

In the interview, Tom revealed that he also wants to be buried in South Wales. Well, it’s an unconventional encore, we’ll give him that.
