You know that creepy AA advert where a succession of creepy AA workers sing You've Got A Friend? You know what'd make that advert even creepier? If Tom Cruise popped up and joined in for the big finish.
That scenario has just got a bit more realistic, since it's been reported that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes stopped their car on Saturday to rescue a couple who had just been in a car crash. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes then waited with the couple until the police and fire department came. Luckily for the couple an ambulance was not needed, as chances are that Tom Cruise would have karate-kicked all the medication from the paramedic's hand before attempting to treat the couple's serious injuries with Hubbard-approved vitamins and exercise.
Tom Cruise, with all of these sudden non-movie related public appearances, you are really spoiling us. Usually Tom Cruise manages to stay inside until he has a movie coming out, at which point he'll leap on some furniture, shout about how shit prescription drugs are on a TV show and then make his girlfriend have his baby in total silence. But right now is a little different for Tom Cruise for a few reasons.
Firstly, Tom Cruise is on something of a charm offensive. After Mission: Impossible III only did disappointingly at the box office, studios aren't going to be so willing to chuck truckloads of cash his was as they did before, so Tom Cruise needs to show that he's a safe pair of hands again. Secondly, Tom Cruise has been so tardy at showing the public his baby Suri Cruise that he's getting even more attention than he would in the runup to any of his film releases. So something like rescuing a couple from a car crash seems like just the sort of thing that will help Tom Cruise regain his reputation while everyone is already looking at him – and that very thing happened on Saturday, as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were driving back from watching their friend and potential Suri-looker David Beckham play in the friendly between Real Madrid and Real Salt Lake. People reports:
A rep for the couple confirms that Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, were on their way home from the airport… when they saw a couple on L.A.'s 101 Freeway who had apparently just been in a car accident. The engaged pair and parents to 4-month-old daughter Suri checked to make sure the passengers, Jon Henningsen and his wife, were not seriously injured, then waited with them until the police and fire department arrived on the scene.
It's hard to guess quite how Tom Cruise managed to spend the time with the two mortals he had saved from certain death, but we'd hope that it didn't involve the old Tom Cruise trick of jumping up and down on the car while shouting "I'm the craziest man in the world!" Most likely, Tom fished Suri Cruise out of the back seat and forced Jon Henningsen to loudly remark on how much Suri Cruise looked like him, before getting him to sign a contract promising to only ever refer to Suri as "beautiful" when asked.

Tom Cruise is a nice human, I agree with the comment above. People who have to put others down do so to make themselves feel better or generally are just jealous of others. Don’t hate him because hes beautiful and rich.
