Actor Tom Cruise filed lawsuits in California federal court today against tabloid magazines for defamation and invasion of privacy. The actor is suing Life & Style and InTouch Weekly over articles that claim he abandoned his 6-year old daughter, Suri.
Tom Cruise may be pretty wacky with his Scientology nonsense, and he definitely lost a lot of credibility after his idiotic behavior a few years ago, such as refuting the value of medication?for treating post-partum depression.?I am personally not a fan, and not simply because I’m taller than him. You can’t just light up that Maverick smile and charm yourself out of that shitstorm, buddy.
All that aside, I’m impressed that he’s flexing his muscles now.?He’s still a powerful dude, and this is the place to take a stand. He’s suing for damages to the tune of $50 million … which is a pretty ludicrous amount of money … but good for him. If he didn’t abandon his daughter, then he should rightfully be pissed off about it.
The lawsuit charges the magazines with “exploiting a defenseless 6-year-old child on its cover.” The stories in question, the first of which appeared in Life & Style in late July and the second in InTouch Weekly in early October, both had headlines with photos of 6-year old Suri looking?distressed and headlines suggesting that her sadness was a result of being abandoned by Cruise.
Hopefully Tom will win this case, and instead of?squandering the?$50 million?supporting bullshit alien nonsense, this incident will shake his head out of his ass and redirect his manic energy onto something worthwhile.

Another reason Cruise is justified is that the Internet is forever.
For the rest of her life, she, her friends, snippy gossip columnists and perhaps even serious reporters will pull up those hateful stories whenever they do any background research on Suri, Tom or Katie.
Toothpaste. Tube. Out of.
PS: Mr. Chambers, you are not taller than him. You are taller than he.

So…
He’s suing because he hasn’t abandoned his daughter. So, clearly, he sees her regularly.
I wonder how that will fly with non-Celebrity members of his cult who have been forced to Disconnect from their non-Scientology family… Link is next to my name
Hypocrisy, thy name is Tiny Tom

Good response. I thought the same when I heard about the suit. Stupid Stupid man. It will blow up in his face and irrespective of which way the action settles will end up another nail in the coffin for $cientology. Even if he wins and then sees Suri all this will produces is conflict from within the church and more $cientologists who have been made to disconnect coming out in anger and bewilderment. Tom is breaking too many church rules.

Aaah – no end to the stupid with $cientology.

It is obvious he loves and adores his daughter. He is a wonderful and loving father to all his children. It would have torn him apart being forced to be separated from Suri because of the divorce. If he knew the divorce was coming he wouldn’t have committed to the films.
If someone said something that was not only a lie but something that would hurt his daughter sure he’d want to fight back. Anyone would. It was an injustice. The media should not be allowed to print false statements.
The media is controlled. Systematic brainwashing. The media make Scientology look like amateurs in the realm of brainwashing. Wake up people. If they love you – you are one of them. If they go after you – its because you are a threat to them. Ask yourself why doesn’t the media go after Jolie the satanist….there’s your clue.
