So how was your Valentine’s Day? Did you get lots of cards and flowers? We got a fantastic present – the news that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were splitting up. "Surely it can’t be true," we thought.
Turns out that it wasn’t true at all – Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes put out an immediate denial of the story. There’s no way that Tom and Katie are splitting up at all. They’re as solid as a rock. At least until Tom Cruise has to promote Mission: Impossible III, anyway.
Tom Cruise (DVDs) and Katie Holmes must be tearing their hair out today -
they’ve literally followed the book of How To Convince The World That
Your Suspicious Relationship Is Real to the letter. The OTT public proclamations of love, the marriage proposal in Paris, the enthusiasm to stare at unborn foetuses in the comfort of their own home, doing handstands on pianos, Tom and Katie have done everything. And people still don’t really believe that their relationship is real.
Not least Life & Style Magazine, which – in a press release and
brief article on its website yesterday – bigged up a story entitled SPLIT! And
Katie’s 7 Months Pregnant. In the article, it was claimed:
"Life
& Style has learned exclusively that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
have agreed to call off their wedding — and, ultimately to split…
[they] plan to keep up the charade of a romance until after the baby’s
birth this spring. In the meantime, the couple will live in his Beverly
Hills home–though sleeping in separate bedrooms–through the summer."
The
article also claimed that Tom Cruise will buy Katie Holmes a house near
his, so that he can wander over from time to time and look at their
baby without the aid of a creepy sonogram machine.
But, inevitably,
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes chucked out a swift denial of the story
through publicist Arnold Robinson:
"It should be known that the story
is 100 percent false. Mr. Cruise and Ms. Holmes are still engaged and
are moving forward with their wedding plans, as well as planning for
the arrival of their child."
Wait, Katie is now a Ms? Weird. Anyway,
Life & Style says that it completely stands behind the story. With
neither side keen to stand down, this looks like a story that will run
and run. And who could ask for a better Valentine’s Day present than
that?

I’ve seen every film that Cruise has done. Frankly, there are a lot of jealousy around people who do well. I hope he and his bride to be live long and have many healthy children.

Cruise is just creepy. Poor poor unborn baby… not sure who I feel more sorry for Sean Preston Spears Federline (LOLLL) or the unborn child of “TomKat” …

Yeah, I agree with the last poster… the worse thing than Katie Holmes being tied to that jerk Tom Cruise for life is the CHILD of Cruise! lol Hey, chances are probably greater it isn’t his biologically. Billy Bob dropped out early of young adopted (intact) Cambodian boy Maddox’s life during the last leg collapse of the Thorton/Jolie marriage… maybe Tom will be compassionate and do the same!
