The Indiana Jones franchise should’ve stopped when it got to film 3. Sean Connery didn’t exactly light the screen up in a decidedly average film, but still, it was a decent enough romp which signalled that the team behind the films were clean out of ideas.
But did that stop them? Of course it didn’t. George Lucas is involved and he can’t stop picking at his own scabs, god forbid he actually tries to make a brand-new film that has no legacy to fall back on.
And Shia LaBeouf has cleared his little throat to confirm that a fifth Indiana Jones movie could be in cinemas soon, to which we must all now start making our excuses not to go see it.
Shia spoke of the Indy5 project while out promoting the third Transformers film, another film that is trading solely on some imagined nostalgia for the ’80s which, if you were there, will testify how awful it was. We can’t let that get in the way of some coins for a movie studio though… although, why they haven’t tried to make a feature length swashbuckler of The Mysterious Cities Of Gold is quite beyond us.
LaBeouf says:
?I talked to Harrison. He said he’s staying in the gym. He said he’s heard no word, but he does know that George [Lucas] is out there looking for a MacGuffin [plot device].?
?He said he’s staying in the gym, so it means, you know, it’s not so far off.?
That, or he’s been eating too many Twinkies and he’s being slagged for his muffin top hanging over his Levi’s.
Of course, the last Indiana Jones movie, The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, was a stinker, only adored by the most deluded fans of Indiana Jones, George Lucas and Harrison Ford (of which there are many, granted).
Even LaBeouf admits that Crystal Skull had ?dropped the ball?, presumably hoping that a new flick will pick it back up again, lest it transpires that the ball is actually a giant stone marble, willing to crush the puny humans that get in its way.

if the kingdom of the crystal skull was so bad, then why did it make 786 million dollars and get ranked 36th on the list of top grossing films. Which is above all the other Indiana Jones movies and the star wars movies.

the kingdom of the crystal skull was quite good apart from the part where skud swings from the trees, that just ruined it but all other respects i thought it was quite clever in how they set out the plot and then finished it with aliens or as Oxley said ”inter-dimensional beings” I do hope there is another one that comes out though. but they really need to think about the next one properly instead of just throwing something together just for the sake of it.

The reason so many didn’t find the 4th installment to be “Amazing” is because, well in all honesty the 2nd wasn’t and neither was the third, so why would the 4th suddenly be the one to rival the first? That being said, Indiana4 was a very good movie, and like every single movie in existence there will always be 1 or more scenes or parts that just didn’t make the grade or live up to expectations.
The truth is Indiana Jones and the crystal skull was a very good movie with a not so hard to believe plot. In Raiders of the lost ark we saw god kill a bunch of nazis using ghosts, angels or demons (depends on what you believe them to be). That plot wasn’t so far fetched and any person who thinks logically would know that for how big the universe is there is absolutely another planet out there with life on it.
If Indiana5 doesn’t happen then it will be a huge mistake financially and for entertainment. Make number 5. Enough said.
The real crime in the movie industry is the internet. The internet has given birth to countless critics who combined criticize every single movie actor/actress and every single movie ever made and will be made, and Mof Gimmers (who wrote this brilliantly shitty review) is in the top percentile for his ability to pump out bad reviews on everything he reviews.

I for one am a big andiana jones fan I would like to see a 5 movie maybe the story will be where andiana jones finds the ancient mythical city of atlantis and find out that the alians where involved in building or helping in building the ancient city or that they even came from there. Make it interesting. Maybe make that city like plato wrote about that it had working running water or that it was super modern for that time. I think that that would be a good story for a fifth movie that is if the director doesnt havea good idea for the fifth movie i think that atlantis story would be a good one beings that the last one was about an alian cristal skull. If the director likes that story idea of atlantis write me back my email is [email protected] thanks.

So what you are suggesting is copying the storyline from the video game. How original.

Why in the world did this article get published? Obviously, the guy who wrote this has no respect for a good movie series, and Indiana Jones is one of the best ones you could get. Of course no movie series is as good as the very first movie installed, but the sequels are still very good and very popular. If Indiana Jones wasn’t good than why would Lucas be creating a fifth? The box office funds must have been really good and high (which it was) in order for a production company to buy the
