The Wicker Man: First Look
Then buzz it up

hecklerspray likes Neil Labute (DVDs/books). He’s the supremely talented misanthrope behind such wonderful films as In The Company Of Men, Your Friends And Neighbours and The Shape Of Things. His 2004 collection of short stories Seconds Of Pleasure is nothing short of sublime.
hecklerspray also likes toupee-tousling Hollywood star Nicolas Cage (DVDs). His hyperactive wide-eyed lunacy in Face/Off is one of the funniest (albeit unintentionally so) performances in cinema. And he’s actually really good in Leaving Las Vegas.
What else does hecklerspray like? Seminal 1970’s British horror The Wicker Man (DVD), that’s what. And not just for that bit where Britt Ekland (DVDs) does that funny naked dance in the corridor. Although that does help.
hecklerspray thought you might like these things too. hecklerspray also thought you might be interested to know that the upcoming Wicker Man remake is directed by none other than Mr. Labute, features Nicky-boy on lead acting duties and has a teaser poster which has recently been unveiled.
Please. Don’t thank us. We’re just doing our job.
