Rolling_stonesWe’re getting a little bit disappointed with The Rolling Stones. Any time they do something remotely interesting, they deny it all straight away and spoil everyone’s fun.

The latest thing the dusty old relics have denied is that Mick Jagger’s girlfriend had turned the Stones against each other.

First there was the intrigue about the song Sweet Neo Con, which is
about someone in the government who lives in a white castle and is a
"crock of shit". But Mick Jagger insists it isn’t about George W Bush. Spoilsport.

And now Jagger is also refuting claims that his girlfriend is
pulling The Rolling Stones (CDs) apart by acting like Yoko Ono. Not in the
sense that she’s a visionary performer who has forever opened up the
band’s field of reference, but in the sense that she wants Keith
Richards
to stop looking like such a mangy scruffbag.

Everyone, it seems, has it in for L’Wren Scott. The 6′4" stylist and
former model’s name has been all over the place lately as reports suggested
that she’s ordered Keith Richards and Ronnie Woods not to smoke in
front of her and has also tried to get The Rolling Stones to wear nicer clothes.
Apart from Charlie Watts, presumably. He was always the cool one.

Maybe the reports were just wishful thinking by people hoping so see
some geriatric blood spilt as The Rolling Stones tear themselves apart
over a girl. But, true or not, Mick Jagger has put out the obligatory
statement:

“We have not had any disagreements about
clothes, smoking or L’Wren, and this is all very hurtful for her. It is
completely untrue to say that L’Wren has
caused a rift between myself and the rest of the band. This is all
nonsense, everyone has their own style.”

So
that’s it - there’s no Rolling Stones rift. L’Wren wouldn’t dare come
between a band that has been together longer than she has been alive.
Just ask Ronnie Woods’ wife, Jo:

“L’Wren has got
great taste, is fantastic company and is just one of the girls on
tour… L’Wren did give some wonderful jackets to Ronnie."
