The Early Years signed by Beggars Banquet
Then buzz it up

The ever-sensible Beggars Banquest has signed The Early Years, a psychedelic three-piece formed in 2004 by David Malkinson, and since fleshed out to include Roger Mackin (more guitar) and Phil Raines (drums).
Influenced by wig-out experts such as Neu!, Spiritualized, Mogwai, Velvet Underground and Can, the band have recently held sessions with Radio One and XFM. And they like effects pedals too. All sounds good to us (we’ve always been suckers for phasers, flangers and clones…).
So catch them early boys and girls: the band are playing at University of London on 26th October in support of Electrelane.
Alternatively wait until January, when the debut single (a charmingly-titled number) called All Ones and Zeros will be released. Doffing the cap to binary. Good thinking.
Will we see a bass player in 2006 boys? Will we see something approacing Krautrock in the charts next year? Or shall we just bed in for a bit more Kaiser Chieffage before the bid flu takes hold?
