Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes made millions of stoners chuckle nacho crumbs into their bellybuttons are their alter-egos Jay and Silent Bob. Littered with pop-culture and sci-fi references, they were always going to achieve cult-herodom.

And now, you’ll get to slap your glazed eyeballs on them in the flesh as they’ve announced a tour of the UK this February.

They’ll be performing the successful comedy podcast Jay and Silent Bob Get Old right before your very eyes. It’ll be like Charlie Sheen’s tour, only good.

When people think of Great British Synthpop, Erasure are often cruelly overlooked by virtue of the fact that they seemed to be having too much fun and embraced their pop-sensibilities with too much gusto.

Basically, po-faced art-schoolers are held up for their future-thinking while Erasure unashamedly went straight for Smash Hits! and Top of the Pops. Of course, Heaven 17, Soft Cell, Human League and Depeche Mode all had big pop hits, but they retained a certain aloofness which made them more credible for some stupid reason.

And with Erasure announcing a new album and an autumn UK tour, it is high time we reminded ourselves just how brilliant they are.

Wu Tang Clan are The Beatles of hip-hop (good thing someone spliced the two together for one of the most fun records of 2010) and when one of them does so much as fart, it is always worth keeping an interest.

And so, on the back of Ghostface Killah’s really great ‘Apollo Kids’ LP, Raekwon is back to carry the Wu flag with a new single called ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’.

Now, we understand your misgivings. When rappers start looking toward rock music, they often get it wildly wrong. Look at Mos Def’s terrible effort of the same name. However, this is The Chef and as usual, he’s cooking up some marvellous shit and he’s taking it on a tour of the UK too!

You know Kylie Minogue? Yeah – her who was in Neighbours and went out with him from INXS before he died (it’d be plain weird if she went out with him after he’d died). She sings a bit too, when she’s not being brave.

As she’s only little, she can’t really do a mammoth tour. Presumably, because the recording industry is in such disarray, she’s made to walk the length of countries in order to tour so, with that, she’s not playing many gigs at selected huge venues.

This is all in support of her Aphrodite LP and she’ll be donning her walking boots next year.

Axl Rose is a bloated prick isn’t he? Seriously. He’s an astonishingly shit human. He preens about this Earth like his balls are clad in gold, when really, he’s just a chubby shrieker with a chemically peeled pink head. These days, he’s less the frontman for a rock group and more like a pi?ata filled with faeces.

And hilariously, the Irish didn’t mind letting him know. Of course, he’s well known for making the people he’s supposed to love (the fans) wait and wait without regard for them in the slightest, by entering the live arena as late as he possibly can.

As such, the Irish took the pi?ata feeling and tried to knock his insides out with bottles.

Guns N’ Roses Will Probably Go Onstage Late At Reading This Year

Knock knock. Who’s there? Axl Rose is a massive prick. Okay, it’s obvious that this joke needs work, but the punchline is pretty truthful as rock ‘n’ roll’s most warped ego flops around Europe like the Emperor in his new clothes.

Yes indeed, the world’s most average hard rock band – well, Axl Rose and a bunch of people who are willing to be bossed around by him under the GNR banner – are to play their hugely underwhelming Chinese Democracy LP to European brains, who no doubt, will be egging the band on to play Sweet Child O’Mine and piss-off into the night.

Fat chance.

Steve Mason, the voice of the Beta Band, has been quietly release the same record over and over again for years. Weirdly, all of them are as enjoyable as the last. Now, he’s back with some solo stuff and details of an Autumn UK headline tour.

Mason will be playing with full band all over the UK, which includes a special and free stripped back acoustic in-store on Tuesday 17th August at Monorail in Glasgow. It kicks off at 7pm so get down early.

This all ties into Steve’s new record, Am I Just a Man, which will hit shelves on Monday August 16th.

Boy howdy! Guns N’ Roses could well be causing yet another riot in your hometown with the announced UK tour of their Chinese Democracy LP.

These shows are the band’s first arena concerts in the UK in four years.
