Tron: Legacy

Tom Cruise is a Scientlogist. That’s all he is now. He used to be an actor and pin-up, but now he’s just a religious nutter, the same as all the other religious nutters around the world. As such, no-one really trusts him anymore.

That’s not stopped people wanting to hire him for films though, as it has been reported that he’s to star in a post-apocalyptic, film called Oblivion.

It would appear that our Tom is more than happy to believe in the aliens that birthed his make-believe religious group but, alas, also happy to chase them around and kill them in the name of movie making.

To be honest, hecklerspray gave up on computer games after a particularly tricky level on Sonic 2 saw a great hole being kicked in mum’s TV cabinet. So it was with some trepidation that ‘spray prepared to re-enter the digital space for Tron: Legacy.

It’s already obvious that this was a going to be visual feast, but even after the multitude of trailers and music videos, the immersive lengths Disney have gone to are impressively realized.

Tron: Legacy is undoubtedly the most feverishly-anticipated movie of the year if you’re a boy of very specific age.

And now there’s a Tron: Legacy trailer! Exciting! But what does it show? Will it be as good as the original Tron? What’s the Daft Punk soundtrack like? Has Jeff Bridges shaved off that silly beard yet? What is a Tron, anyway?

Frankly, if you watch the Tron: Legacy trailer, you’ll end up none the wiser. It’s all flash-flash and bang-bang and you may as well be peering into a distorted kaleidoscope while nightmarish circus music plays in the background for all the good it’ll do, if we’re honest.
