Thanks to Glitter – and, to a lesser extent, the Touch My Body video – Mariah Carey is rarely praised for her acting.
But that changes now. Now Mariah Carey is a genuine force to be reckoned with in the acting world. That’s not so much down her recent well-received role inPrecious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire, but because of the uncanny impersonation of hit 2009 YouTube sensation David After Dentist upon collecting her Best Breakthrough Actress award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival awards on Tuesday night.
Of course, there’s a chance that Mariah Carey might not have been demonstrating the breadth of her acting chops. She might have just been incomprehensibly blootered on booze. But the main thing is there’s video below. That’s all that really counts, right?
