HecklerPlay: The Wonderful Works Of Reginald Dixon

Eh? Who?s that? We imagine that to be the garbled reaction from the majority of you when reading the name Reginald Dixon. With people like Radio 1 hipster Fearne Cotton shrieking the praises of a grotty rock bands, you're unlikely to hear about the next genuinely exciting thing.

But we're not just all about focussing on the new and underground acts, this is one of these times we want to take a look back at musical art forms which are sadly extinct and out of the public eye.

Despite the lack of popularity, this doesn't necessarily make it rubbish. Reginald Dixon was the leading organist at the Blackpool tower ballroom, soundtracking many-a-couple who danced the night away. He even penned a song you\’ll have certainly heard but perhaps don't known the origins of. See, we can be educational.
