MySpace Trawl – Acrnym
Oddly, Acrnym has already featured in MySpace Trawl. Before you jump to conclusions and accuse us of being lazy, that isn’t the case. Acrnym is a member of band who have recently released an album and are gaining the praises of everyone in the music world. Compare the two together and you wouldn’t expect it was ...
MySpace Trawl – Melt Banana
Everyone knows the Japanese are slightly mental. They are at least 50 years more advanced than everyone else in terms of mobile phones, cars and tasty noodle dishes. The music they produce is mental too. When you don’t find yourself sucked into listening to a sickly sweet Japanese pop song, you’ll only get extreme music. Melt Banana are ...
MySpace Trawl – Bombay Bicycle Club
Hooray hooray hooray, it’s Friday today! Stick a slick hip-hop beat under those red hot lyrics and we’ll become overnight sensations on MySpace/YouTube and a dozen other social networking sites that have yet to be invented. We’ll even let you be in our posse if we like you. Whilst our musical dreams are realistically never going to happen, we are quietly confident that Bombay Bicycle Club will go a lot further than us. The difference between us and them is that they can play instruments and can write lyrics that don’t sound like something a seven-year-old would cook up.
MySpace Trawl – War Tapes
Before the age of MP3, Minidisc and CD, everyone consumed their music via the trusty cassette tape. Despite being ridiculously fragile and vulnerable to breaking at the slightest opportunity, this is what was used to listen to whatever crap was popular at the time. We hope War Tapes are spreading the love of the cassette and er… are waging war on MP3. There we go, crap introduction over. Despite the connotations of violence and death that war conjures up, War Tapes instead create that feel good indie/post-punk music that isn’t dependent on a solitary riff to ride them to success from start to finish.
MySpace Trawl – The Deer Tracks
Worried that we'll spout off some rubbish jokes up about how deers are crap musicians due to their lack of being able to grasp a guitar? Relax, we won’t. Instead we’ll get down to business straight away. The Deer Tracks are a Swedish duo who make wonderfully epic post rock music all mixed in with glitch electronics.
MySpace Trawl – FC Kahuna
Again dear reader, lets us clarify with you that FC Kahuna aren't eleven people who play for a football club called Kahuna.
It is instead the project of the duo Jon Nowell and Daniel Ormondroyd. We pretty much see them as the UK’s underground version of The Chemical Brothers. They have the ability to produce throbbing electro, house

MySpace Trawl – Message To Bears
Before we harp on about why Message To Bears are unbelievably ace, we’d like to let some of our dimmer readers down. This isn’t the collective of a group of bears who escaped the circus in China and decided to make an album. As we all know, bears can make porridge at best. If you did have a message for a bear, what would it be? We’d ask them to stop crapping in woods near us. Bears are allowed to do it and won’t get fined, so how come we get slapped with a fixed penalty? Never mind, that’s a separate issue, let’s concentrate on the wonderful Message To Bears.
MySpace Trawl – Saxon Shore
Leaders in their musical field often becoming unchallenged and, usually, it means that other people don’t get a look in. This sometimes means that young acts struggle to get in whilst old crusty bands plague everyone with their repetitive songs, like The Rolling Stones and - to a strange extent - The Beatles. In the post rock world, the ...
