Not a lot has ever really happened in Australia. Since that awkward event with Dorothy and the wizard who controls all of the inhabitants in Oz, there hasn’t been much to sing and dance about.
Unless you count cracking open a warm tins of Fosters and being distrustful of the indigenous aboriginal folk, Australians have little to look forward to.
However, in a hecklerspray exclusive, it’s been revealed to us that the Australian government are about to allow the population to listen to something other than INXS. Australians were told Michael Hutchence died from natural causes; not through an accidental self-pleasure mishap. So which world famous musician or band has been allowed to fly in and showcase their talents? We’ve been told that Lee Ryan and Muse were busy, so YouTube sensation Rebecca Black has been booked instead.

Although we’re legally obliged to say that Dave Grohl is the nicest man in rock, and that his band of Foo Fighting brothers make up the nicest band in rock ‘n’ roll, there’s a very strong chance we’d say it regardless.
That’s because they are irritatingly pleasant blokes.
Between them, they clearly enjoy being in a rock band (which is refreshing in itself) and throw people out of their shows for being idiots and make spoof confessionals slagging off the Scissors Sisters (in a very fun way, naturally)… and now they’re giving a film away for free. That’s what nice people do. Not like us. We’d charge you for this rubbish if we could. Anyway, you can watch this film over the jump.

The internet has always been a damaging tool for unintended material to go viral. All you need to do is type “Star Wars Kid” into YouTube to see multiple mocked up videos of the original showing someone emulating one of the characters… or if you prefer, some tubby kid being roundly mocked for having fun.
Twitter has the ability to make a piece of footage go viral in seconds thanks to the power of retweets. One such person who fell victim to this was Rebecca Black. Her parents paid for her to live the dream of a popstar but nobody knew that the song sounded so ropey due to the extreme use of autotune.
At first, the taunts were confined to users describing the song as rubbish. But when personalised threats of violence were uttered, it all got a bit out of hand. But in true Disney esque style, Rebecca Black has come out on top and has released a more polished follow up.

Once upon a time in the late 1980s a band called Nirvana was formed. Establishing themselves as part of the moody grunge scene in Seattle, they brought like minded depressives together to sing about the fishes not having any feelings, babies smelling like butter and deodorant.
But as fame, fortune and Courtney Love became too much for front man Kurt Cobain, he ended it all by blasting off his own face with a shotgun. Shame. Such a pretty face.
Dave Grohl was subsequently released from his background role as drummer and subsequently formed new band The Foo Fighters. Known in the industry as being a gentlemen of rock, always respectful, he lived up to his reputation following a recent gig at London’s Roundhouse as part of the iTunes festival.

French music has long been derided by the ears of the world, despite the fact that the French have given us some of the best music ever made. Sylvie Vartan, Serge Gainsbourg, Air, Daft Punk, Phoenix and Stereolab are all ludicrously great!
However, some of it is completely gash and The Toxic Avenger falls square in that category.
That said, the video for his new single, N’Importe Comment is rather good in a completely geekoid nerdfest way. The promo sees our painfully white rapper strutting around poking people and adding ladies as his friends by jabbing them in the tits.

Remember the other week when we brought you the wonderful music of The Candle Thieves via our MySpace Trawl feature? Of course you ruddy do!
It appears the band have been able to use all sorts of pretty colours and sellotape them together to create a video for The Sunshine Song. Don’t go thinking its a botched job down on a hand held camera for £20.
Oh no, what we have is a wonderfully crafted video which perfectly reflects the sound of the song. Thank God for that, the last thing we wanted to see was the duo standing on a building looking moody in the rain.
