Movies From Beyond: Dawn Of The Dead & The Marine

Just like the monster from the recently-released, and possibly best, movie of the year Cloverfield, this week's Movies From Beyond crashes, smashes and generally beats its way through the cityscape crushing everything in its way.

That’s right, run away you insignificant ants or end up flatter than a Shove Tuesday pancake under our massive squiddy feet. This week - Dawn Of The Dead and The Marine...

Movies From Beyond: The Incredible Shrinking Man & Fido

So, it has been a couple of weeks since the last instalment of Movies From Beyond, and since last time we have been watching a lot of Quantum Leap on Sci-Fi and are eagerly awaiting the release of Cloverfield today.

As you may remember Movies From Beyond is an almost weekly trip to the dark side of movies, we love nothing more than laying on a beanbag eating Pringles watching something unsettling. This week: The Incredible Shrinking Man, Fido and Alice Cooper Live at Montreux...

Movies From Beyond Remake Special: Dawn Of The Dead & Psycho

Movies From Beyond is a weekly celebration of movies from just outside the mainstream.

You might call them B-movies, hidden gems, cult classics or the just plain odd, but if it involves zombies, blood, guts, slashers, deviants or all of the above then we are in. That’s how we roll, punk!
Today we're looking at nothing but remakes, in particular Dawn Of The Dead and Psycho...

Movies From Beyond: The Omega Man & Ed Wood

Welcome again to the weekly whirlwind of the weird we call Movies From Beyond. We have been watching some real gems lately and so thought it only right to let you know what we think about them, whether you like it or not.

Firstly though, we think it is our duty to let you know that the horrendously-under appreciated Zone Horror on Sky has started showing The Twilight Zone every night before Tales From The Crypt. Now that’s an evening in in anyone’s book (book of the dead maybe?)

So onto this week's Movies From Beyond - The Omega Man and Ed Wood...

Movies From Beyond: Planet Terror & Vacancy

Roll up, roll up, roll up and welcome to the circus of weirdness we like to call Movies From Beyond.

We have the lot - scary clowns like Tim Curry in It, a ringmaster that reminds us of Captain Spaulding from House Of 1,000 Corpses and, of course, Killer Clowns From Outer Space all wrapped up in a gaudy big top, so take your seats and enjoy the show.

This week - Planet Terror and Vacancy...

Movies From Beyond: Hooper & Death Proof

Now it would be a little too obvious to talk about another Christmas film this week on Movies From Beyond.

If it was your thing, you could always fire up Emo-kid favourite The Nightmare Before Christmas directed by goth god Tim Burton or, for real frights, you could always just sit back and watch the Queen witter on for half an hour. Our tip is none of the above.

Instead, we'll be looking at Hooper and Death Proof...

Movies From Beyond: Flight Of The Living Dead & Black Xmas

People will remember this day like the moon landing, if it happened, they remember where they were when Elvis left the building and now they will remember the first time they read our new weekly ramblings delving into the world of the cult/ B-Movie/ Straight To DVD and forgotten gems. Too much? Yeah that kind of got away from us there.

Anyway, we've watched a lot of really ‘so bad it’s good’ car-crash movies in our time so it's only fair we share some of thoughts with the readers of  what could be the best entertainment site in the whole of the freakin’ internet. Ladies and gentlemen, it's the first Movies From Beyond, starring Flight of The Living Dead and Black Xmas...
