Have you seen the films about the Fockers? There’s bloody loads of them aren’t there? This picture of a child puking on Ben Stiller’s face is to signify that there’s a new one coming out called Little Fockers and that it stars small humans (aka childerenz) Oh, and Fockers sounds like a naughty word doesn’t it? What a LOL.

Anyway, the film continues to tap the cringe-gland as Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) and Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) descend further into an exercise of putting as many feet in your mouth as possible.

Little Fockers sees Laura Dern, Jessica Alba and Harvey Keitel all joining the returning cast for a new chapter of the franchise.

It has taken 10 years, two little Fockers with wife Pam (Polo) and countless hurdles for Greg to finally get “in” with his tightly wound father-in-law, Jack. After the cash-strapped dad takes a job moonlighting for a drug company, however, Jack’s suspicions about his favourite male nurse come roaring back.

When Greg and Pam’s entire clan—including Pam’s lovelorn ex, Kevin (Owen Wilson)—descends for the twins’ birthday party, Greg must prove to the sceptical Jack that he’s fully capable as the man of the house. But with all the misunderstandings, spying and covert missions, will Greg pass Jack’s final test and become the family’s next patriarch…or will the circle of trust be broken for good?

Precious is heavy…

And we’re not talking about the main character, Clareece ‘Precious’ Jones.  Actress Gabourey Sidibe teams up with comedian Mo’Nique, Mariah Carey and Paula Patton to tell an urban tale of abuse, self hatred and feeling worthless.

Main character Precious, is 16, illiterate and pregnant for the second time by her father. Her mother is an abusive tyrant, she’s persecuted at school and lives a life of general misery. This gritty drama will hit you with a sobering dose of life’s realities, set to the grim backdrop of Harlem, NY.

All that Precious wants is to be loved, acknowledged and good at something, but she’s constantly held back by the sour negativity of her life. She transfers to a special school program, and meets Miss Rain (Paula Patton) and welfare officer Mrs Weiss (Mariah Carey) after being forced to sign on by her mother. Slowly, they work their way into Precious’ life and make a bid to change it for the better.

Based on the novel Push by Sapphire, this is not an easy movie, but one evoking thought and reflection.

Tyson drops his guard and allows Toback to tell a story that covers every angle of the fight. With unforgettable events, priceless gaffes, superb production and some of the most brutal matches of the 20th century, Tyson scores a knockout blow.

The suburban nightmare is over.

After rigging your house with kiddie balloons, the neighbours get the finger and you rocket to the heavens, free to enjoy your sick  misanthropic fantasy… then you realise you have to share it with a tubby little tosspot.

Pixar’s cleverly titled Up is the tale of a pissed off 78-year-old who dreams of exploring the globe by using his house as flying ship. When Carl Fredricksen finally decides to eject from his pointless existence, he finds an eight-year-old stowaway named Russell hanging out on the porch.

Not only is Russell the dumbest little troglodyte you’ll ever meet, he’s also kind of cute and gives the film a warm yet slightly idiotic sentiment. The dodgy pair embark on the adventure of a lifetime, find themselves a talking dog and raid the jungles and other natural habitats of the world for no apparent reason. Some people call it kidnapping.

Every twentysomething sucker around will have read Where The Wild Things Are as a tiddler, and it’s basically what happens when your child is on Ritalin.

In this frothingly-anticipated adaptation of a children’s tale by Maurice Sendak, a little boy named Max retreats into a world of giant and friendly monsters who throw each other about like sacks of children.

The creatures are such half-wits that they decide to crown little Max as their king and leave their future in the hands of a delusional child with wombat pyjamas.

There’s a lot of eye-candy waiting in this surreal and family-friendly adventure, strange landscapes and state of the art graphics will hit you like a whiff of your toddler’s opium pipe and you’ll be left with monsters of your own. Where the Wild Things Are is a film best watched with wife and child, it’s probably not okay to tell your friends.
