80s Nostalgia – 5 Groovy TV Shows We’d Love to Watch Again

80s tv showThe 80s – time of frosted eye shadow, big hair (to achieve the look – lick a socket) and clothing that were designed almost exclusively from man-made materials. Questionable fashion aside, TV shows at the time were really good.

Call us nostalgic but we wonder sometimes what some of our favorite TV characters would be up to today. We don’t really believe in reboot shows (The new 90210? Blech!), but we can get on board with one-off specials. Here are five shows we’d love to see revisited for one off specials, do let us know your favorites in the comments.

Look at Back To The Future With Eric Stoltz As Marty McFly

Back To The Future is one of those film franchises that people mistake for being a series of great movies. They really weren’t. They were fun and deserve to be cult favourites… but great? Nah.

Either way, the adventures of Marty McFly are still hugely loved and have been tarted up just in time for the release of Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy. Once again, it’ll remind the sad 2% of the British public of those free books you got free with Shreddies way back when.

However, things could have been so very, very different as Eric Stoltz was originally cast in the role of Marty McFly and you can watch a video over the jump which shows this alternate universe.

MTV To Avoid More Music Videos With New Teen Wolf Series

Teen WolfHecklerspray’s working on a script for a television series based on Orko, the purple magician from the He-Man cartoon.

It’ll be a drama. In the pilot he’ll meet a pair of lavender legs, they’ll slowly fall in love, and then half way through season three he’ll realize they’re actually his legs which have been missing since shortly after birth. Initially this will pose an ethical dilemma, but then they’ll move to Vermont and get married anyway.

We’ve a guy at TBS that says he’s very interested. MTV doesn’t have room for more 80’s fanfare – they’re too busy bringing back Teen Wolf.
