The bah humbugs are on us this Christmas. Rather than find the next biggest Mexican folk carol singers, we thought we’d just go and find some stuff that hasn’t got anything to do with Christmas at all.

Until annoying people who knock on our door do this sort of thing, we’ll shut the door on them.

Imagine some crisp electrical beats combined with the traditional rappings of Silent Night. It may sound odd to you, but in our simple minds it’s a surefire winner. Perhaps the fumes from the eggnog the man in the market sold us are making us a bit funny. Perhaps we need to go and throw some nuts into roaring fire or something.

Lifting Gear Engineer manage to show they're not one-trick ponies by dicing up the same messed-up skittering sound on each song. Some may sound violently distorted and stuck together with a bit of love, but we like that. On the flipside, some plain simple synths over casual beats make for a listen that is just as good as anything around in the nineties. Play these badboys and people will scurry around asking for all sorts of happy drugs.
