Kimberley Walsh Misplaces Cheryl Cole In America

Worrying reports are flooding into the bedsit that Girls Aloud and (apparently) solo star Kimberley Walsh has managed to misplace long-time friend and band-mate Cheryl Cole while on holiday in America. News in recent weeks has suggested that Cheryl is trying to get her PR disaster of a career back on track but this latest navigational disaster could be the death-knell in the coffin of Chezza’s dreams of cracking America.

Cole and ‘Bez Friend Fo’evvvvaaaaa’ Kimberley Walsh had been enjoying a short holiday in Los Angeles for the past week but concerns have been raised when Walsh was seen at London’s Heathrow airport Arrivals area without her former band-mate.

The pair had been enjoying nights out in Hollywood with Cheryl’s brother Garry, not to mention hooking up with?Dancing With The Stars professional, Derek Hough. We’re not quite sure what ‘hooking up’ means in this context but if it transpires that anyhting has happened to the Geordie songstress and Will.I.Am fancier then he will have to numero uno on the list of suspects.

Kimberley Walsh – the normally silent Girls Aloud member – has been blabbing away of late, presumably because she's been saving it up after eight years of various PR embargoes and can now let rip since ?the Girls? are on hiatus.

And what does she come up with? For a start the revelation that could only be described as ?shocking? in a world as tired and jaded as this that she has only had ?two serious relationships?.

What Next For The Ladies Of Girls Aloud?

The process of a pop group disbanding is very similar to the gradual disintegration of a once-wonderful love affair.

It starts with a few missed appointments, then a couple of sudden solo holidays, followed by dates with other people, startling weight loss on your part, thanks to an inability to hold down food. Then eventually you're left in a metaphorical sand-holding situation, in which the sand represents your love, and yet it appears to be flowing through your fingers at an ever-quickening rate.

Eventually, in your heightened state of mania, you notice that the sand has gone. There's nothing there. It's over. And rather embarrassingly, your partner has moved on, and appears to be actually marrying someone else. When did all of that happen?

Anyway, all of this leads completely seamlessly to the popular all-girl group, Girls Aloud. In egg timer terms, the consensus this week is that time is running out ? over 50 per cent of them are going solo, and four of them are really bloody thin. Basically, it's finished. So what next for these glamorous young women? Read on and you\’ll find out?

Is This The Greatest GIRLBAND Ever?

Only last week we discussed at some length who would make it into the greatest boyband ever.

It turned out to be the most startling line up imaginable, but also a bit sexist. Where were the girls? They were nowhere to be seen.

So, with that in mind we thought it best to compile the female version of a great boyband line up.

We trawled through all of the greatest girlbands and their hits, and these five astonishing women shone, even in extremely shiny company…
