And it's got worse too. A judge yesterday ordered Jessica Sierra to spend a full year in rehab unless she wants to stay in jail for 11 years. According to a doctor appearing in court on her behalf, Jessica Sierra's addictions are serious enough to be life-threatening.

Although this order is enough to make sure that Jessica Sierra will give birth to her baby in a harshly-lit, unforgiving rehab centre, it's not all bad news – even though Jessica Sierra will have to live every single day of the next calender year in rehab, that's actually three times less rehab time than Lindsay Lohan spent over the course of 2007.

American Idol can be a cruel mistress. One day there you are on top of the world, singing worn-out old Whitney Houston songs to an audience of millions while a snippy Brit insults you, and the next moment you've been cast aside, letting rappers knock you up and having to throw cocktail glasses into mens' faces just to get a smidgen of attention.

That's the exact circumstance that Jessica Sierra has found herself in. An American Idol also-ran from three years ago, Jessica Sierra's problems are just about endless. After she was arrested for throwing the cocktail glass with cocaine in her possession, Sierra was placed on probation – something she duly violated days later when she went on a drunken rampage in a Florida nightclub, resisted arrest, threw up in the police car, verbally abused the officers on the basis of their race and sexual orientation and then offered them a blowjob if they'd let her go.

And there's a Jessica Sierra sex tape floating around. And she's pregnant. Obviously the quickest way to improve Jessica's life would be to build a raft out of oildrums and push her out to sea on it forever, but since some people have said we're not allowed to do that any more, the second-best way is probably rehab.

Since Jessica Sierra has got a lot of problems, though, she'll have to stay in rehab for a long time. A year, in fact, because that's what a Florida judge has just told her. And, appearing in court on her behalf was Dr Drew Pinsky of Celebrity Rehab With Dr Drew fame, who seemed to think that if Jessica didn't get the rehab she needed then she'd probably end up brown bread:

"Without that treatment and with further incarceration, there could be a very serious problem for her. I think her survival is in question."

What's even worse is that when Jessica Sierra is released from rehab she'll be placed on a three-year probation where she won't be able to drink, take drugs or lark about being a professional former American Idol star – the judge also ordered Jessica to find full-time work as soon as she's out of rehab, and if she doesn't she'll get thrown in jail for 11 years.

So in rehab, on drugs, pregnant, with a sex tape out and forced to work for a living – could life get any worse for Jessica Sierra?

Well, if she'd done any better at American Idol there's a chance she might have ended up in the Sex And The City film like Jennifer Hudson. So at least she won't have to go through anything as inhumane as that any time soon.

And not just anyone, either – Jessica Sierra has got pregnant at the hands of a rapper. And if you thought that giving birth to a rapper's baby in jail while a video of you having explicit sex was freely available on the internet was as bad as it got, think again – because despite all that nobody still has any bloody clue who Jessica Sierra actually is. 

There are usually three ways than an American Idol contestant's career can go. Either they become famous for their talent like Kelly Clarkson or Jennifer Hudson, they become famous for being the stupidest arsehole ever to walk the earth like Kellie Pickler or they disappear into nothingness like, well, like the rest of them.

So let's give a big hand to Jessica Sierra, who has forged a brand-new post-American Idol career for herself. And Jessica Sierra's is an easy enough career-path for any of us to follow, too – you just need to throw a cocktail glass at a man's head with cocaine in your possession and then violate the terms of your probation from that by going on a drunken rampage in a nightclub, resisting arrest, puking in a police car, screaming insults at your arresting officers based on their racial and sexual orientation and then offering to suck them off in return for them letting you go. Oh, and star in a grubby internet sex tape – Jessica Sierra did that too.

While that would be enough to send most people into some sort of spiralling meltdown, Jessica Sierra obviously thought she could do better than that – so she's gone and got herself pregnant, too.

That's what's been claimed, anyway. Reports are suggesting that Jessica Sierra – currently banged up in Falkenburg Road Jail in Tampa, Florida – has somehow got pregnant with a baby fathered by a rapper. What sort of rapper, we don't know. And thanks to this pregnancy, Jessica Sierra has been placed on a 'pregnancy diet' whatever that means. Still, it's important that Jessica Sierra keeps her strength up, because she'll be offering sexual favours to authority figures in return for leniency for two from now on.

That's if Jessica Sierra is pregnant, after all. If she's convicted of all her charges, Jessica Sierra will spend more than 11 years in jail, and there's nothing like a pregnancy to make judges go easy on a girl. It's a trick that Nicole Richie invented earlier this year and that Foxy Brown hamfistedly followed, so Jessica Sierra might just be following the proud tradition of women using unborn babies as bargaining chips in the justice system.

And if it works, Jessica Sierra could even be out of jail by December 30, which is when her sex tape will finally be released. The distributors are promising that the Jessica Sierra sex tape is the most explicit celebrity sex tape ever, which sounds good except that a) Jessica Sierra isn't really a celebrity and b) it can be as explicit as you like, but if it's Jessica Sierra doing it we'd still probably prefer to pour red-hot sugar syrup into our eyes rather than watch it.

But that's not going to happen, because an American charity has decided that it doesn't want our new favourite good girl gone bad (or bad girl gone worse? Crap girl gone terrible?) Jessica Sierra to perform at a Washington Christmas tribute concert for US troops on Friday, thanks to her currently being held in custody for violating her parole in an embarrassingly drunk, vomit-stained, sexually-propositioning way, and also because of the imminent internet release of the grubby-looking Jessica Sierra sex tape.

But, undeterred, Jessica Sierra has vowed to help the army out in any way she can despite the concert snub, which is why this week she'll be offering sad-faced handjobs to crooked prison guards in return for donations to the war effort. Possibly.

Now, currently held in custody ahead of a court case that could see her spending up to 11 years in jail, Jessica Sierra has to face the sad fact that her services are no longer welcome at Friday's 'A Song for Their Service' holiday concert in Washington to honour serving members of the US military.

Jessica Sierra was due to perform at the concert alongside Mark Wills, Russ Lee, Melanie Dekker, Diana Nagy and a whole host of other singers we've never even heard of, but because of a rule stating that nobody can perform at military charity concerts if they've starred in a sex tape so depressingly cruddy-looking that it makes the final scenes of Requiem For A Dream look like Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium, organisers MoveAmericaForward.org have decided that she's no longer welcome.

Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson said of Jessica Sierra in a statement:

"While we appreciate Ms. Sierra's past efforts to support U.S. troops, including performing for them in Iraq on Independence Day, it is quite obvious that Ms. Sierra needs to devote a great deal of time to putting her life back together."

But perhaps this is a good thing after all – Jessica Sierra's talents are obviously wasted singing a series of mid-level MOR cover versions at a wartime charity concert. That's why everyone has agreed that it's better for everyone if Jessica Sierra is airlifted to Fallujah and allowed to witlessly stumble around the city being arbitrarily aggressive to anyone she meets. That would surely bring about the end of the war for good, as it would result in hordes of Iraqi insurgents fleeing the country fearing for their lives because they thought there'd been some sort of horrible 28 Days Later-style zombie outbreak and that they'd all end up looking like her if she coughed blood into their eyes or something.

Of course, the Americans among you will recognise Jessica Sierra as the third singer to be eliminated from American Idol 2005. For the British among you, that's the equivalent of Philip McGee from X Factor 2005. Imagine Philip McGee in a sex tape. That's the level of outrage we're talking about here, people.

Anyway, back to Jessica Sierra. After her early exit from American Idol, Jessica pretty much followed the traditional post-show career path – she had a stalker, then she did a song for Toys R Us, then she threw a cocktail glass at a man's head in a bar and was arrested with cocaine on her, then a week ago she violated her parole for that by allegedly having a drunken argument with police, vomiting inside the police car after being arrested and variously calling police officers homosexuals, screaming racial epithets at them and offering them oral sex in return for a quiet release.

So at the moment Jessica Sierra is in jail, and faces up to an 11-year sentence for her actions. But that's not all – now a sex tape has emerged of Jessica Sierra, and it's going to be out any time now.

According to reports, a major porn distributor has got hold of a copy of what it claims is a Jessica Sierra sex tape, and it wants it released before the end of the year. There's no word on what the Jessica Sierra sex tape actually involves yet, but if it's anything like the stills that have been released – including one gag-inducing image of Jessica Sierra miserable and naked in a bathtub smoking a cigarette – then we're almost completely positive that nobody who watches it will ever be able to muster up even a hint of an erection again.

Incidentally, maybe we should let Same Difference win X Factor. We wouldn't want this happening to them. No, really.
