When Christina Applegate took the role of ditzy teen Kelly on the TV sitcom “Married with Children,” she was forever branded a bombshell airhead. Future film roles did nothing to dispel that image. The child of a record executive and singer-actress Nancy Priddy, Christina made her acting debut at five months in commercials for Playtex nursing products. Were baby-focused jobs to be her destiny? Ironically, she raced back to work on the “Up All Night” film set right after giving birth and lists the 1991 TV movie, “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” among her dubious credentials.
