What seems like a life time ago, professional and acclaimed actresses Tyra Banks and Lindsay Lohan starred in the international made-for-tv hit, Life-Size, about a little girl (Lohan) who brings her doll (Banks) to life to help her cope with the loss of her mom.
Since it first aired 27 million years ago, people have been praying to the Gods that a sequel would be made, and next Christmas the Lord doth giveth.
Rumors have been swirling for a while now that a Life-Size sequel was going to happen, but it was Tyra Banks herself who finally confirmed it, tweeting:
One word: LIFESIZE
Oops…
2 words
LIFESIZE 2
Uhhh, technically that is a word and a number, not two words, but I will forgive this time, Tyra, as I am very very excited for this movie. This time around, they’re throwing in the Christmas spirit, making Life-Size 2 a Christmas movie with the synopsis going like this:
In Life-Size 2, Banks will reprise her iconic role as a doll that comes to life, but in the sequel, everyone’s favorite doll, Eve, has grown up. This time, she’s magically awoken to help a young woman learn to live and love again, and along the way, Eve herself will experience the ups and downs of real life in the telepic that’s described by the network as a ‘fun, edgy, modern Christmas movie.’
So, basically it’s the first Life-Size, but at Christmas. First of all, I like how the synopsis points out that the role was iconic, because it is. Secondly, did Tyra even turn back into a doll at the end of the original Life-Size? I thought she ended up with Lohan’s dad? I clearly remember the movie well. Third, and most importantly, will the young woman she’s helping be Lindsay Lohan? Because if anyone needs Tyra’s help right now, it’s Lindsay fucking Lohan. Homegirl is out here trying to sell birkinis while trying out a Russian meets English accent, she 100% needs a life size doll to come to life and tell her to look at her life and look at her choices. She could also use the work, so I really hope they cast her. I mean, Lindsay is great in tv movies, remember that Liz Taylor biopic she did? Exactly.
