Colin_jackson_strictly_come_dancingWhat a ridiculous TV show Strictly Come Dancing is.

The spectacle of watching a bunch of half-famous morons dressed up in – let’s face it – stupid clothes and spasming around the floor of a TV studio for an hour was almost enough to burst all the blood vessels in our heads. Almost enough.

There were two things that stopped us from turning Strictly Come Dancing off, kicking over the TV and setting fire to it. One of those reasons was Bruce Forsyth. We’d watch a documentary on genital mutilation if Bruce was presenting it. The other reason is that we can bet on the winner of Strictly Come Dancing. And we’d watch a documentary on genital mutilation if it came with a set of betting odds.

Siobhan Hayes was the first dancer to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing, which means we’ll never find out who she actually is. But, now we’ve seen how these people dance, who’s going to win the series? Here is part one of this week’s latest betting odds for the series winner of Strictly Come Dancing, with some help from Betfair.com

Zoe Ball – Well well well, it looks like Zoe Ball actually can dance
a bit. And we’d always had her down for more of a drunken lurcher than
a dancer. But Zoe’s waltz won over the judges, one of whom called her a
"gazelle"
, which we think is a compliment. She got the highest score of
the evening, too. SCORE – 35Current odds – 17/13

Darren Gough – Is it us, or has Darren Gough turned into a great big
fat bloke? And why has he developed such a self-consciously wacky
personality all of a sudden? Darren danced the cha cha cha and got
called a "light-footed rhino" by the judges, who seem to be rocking the
whole ‘animal comparison’ vibe this season. SCORE – 19Current odds -
35/1

Gloria Hunniford – At her age, Gloria Hunniford should be starring
in adverts for walk-in baths and remote-controlled awnings, but instead
she’s determined to dance like a freakish dervish on Strictly Come
Dancing
. She wasn’t great at dancing her waltz, but the judges were
very kind to her. "I want to see you come back," one of them told her,
loudly and slowly. SCORE – 22 - Current odds – 43/1

Colin Jackson – There comes a point in every man’s life where he
must decide if he wants to be competitive, or if he wants to retain his
self-respect. Colin Jackson clearly wants to win Strictly Come Dancing,
but he has to look like a total spaz to do it. The amount of effort he
put into his cha cha cha was embarrassing – remember kids, effort is
for losers – but the judges seemed to like the routine, even going as
far as to call him "snake hips". SCORE – 32Current odds – 16/9

Patsy Palmer – Poor Patsy Palmer. All that dancing makes her dizzy,
so it’s not a big surprise to hear that she flat-out sucked at her
waltz. And the judges were awfully nasty to her. "I thought your
footwork was appalling,"
one of the judges told her, which has to be
the lamest insult ever. SCORE – 19 - Current odds – 37/2

Dennis Taylor – Dennis Taylor probably did his best at dancing the
cha cha cha. To be honest, we missed his routine. The judges called him
"groovy and funky," though – the first time that those words have been
publicly spoken since 1971. SCORE – 20Current odds – 64/1

I am APPALLED by Stuart Heritage’s article on ‘Strictly Come Dancing.’ The show isn’t about how ‘famous’ the celebrities are. It’s about charity and dancing! SOME PEOPLE are fascinated to see the development of people’s skills over the course of the series. I think the effort they put in is spectacular and a model to us all! As for the concept, I’d much rather see society dancing the waltz and tango than haring around like wild animals in night clubs! I think Gloria is wonderful and demonstrates that anyone can look glamourous however old they are. The judges comments are constructive and useful even to the professional dancers themselves unlike shows like ‘X Factor’ where the feedback’s limited to entertain a brain-dead audience! I hope ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues as it would be a great shame to lose such a lively and inspired programme.

Who the hell is Stuart Heritage? If he’s the guy that wrote that piece about the show what a sad cynical jerk. I hated his comments! What qualifies him to spout off over the next person? With his juvinile comments, who is he trying to impress, 8 yr olds?!! “Remember kids, effort is for losers”, no wonder Britain is no longer great with tossers like that getting anywhere near young impressionable minds.
The celebrities are good sports. Providing wonderful entertainment. They shouldn’t be rediculed by a bitter little nobody. I love strictly come dancing and I for one don’t want to hear it.

Who the hell do you think you are Stuart whateveryournameis. Firstly, who are you? I bet you’ve never done anything remotely interesting or worth while in your life, yet you have the nerve to insult these people who obviously have done something good enough to actually get onto a CELEBRITY SHOW! You complete idiot. And secondly, 90% of the contestants can dance very well, and the other half are puttting all their efforts into it. Have you ever cared passionately about anything in your life? Its refreshing to see a show that focuses on people improving in a skill. I think your an arrogant, obnoxious little worm who should really think about his own ‘incredible life’ before you start insulting other people’s who you dont even know, and will never know! Get a life!

I was forced into watching this while visiting my girlfriend’s parents and it was ghastly viewing. What’s with the grinning? Why do they all grin like they do? Last time I saw grinning like that it was at a ‘rave’.

Heritage has it spot on. Celebrity shows suck. And Brucey is a don.

Fuck you stuart, how dare you diss Pink Floyd in one of your articles. They’re the greatest band of all time. Fuck you and all that you stand for.
