James_martin_strictly_come_dancingIt’s
day three of our pre-series Strictly Come Dancing betting odds round-up. A bunch of vaguely famous people are getting ready to dress up in ridiculous clothes and wiggle around, and we’re reacting in the only way we know how: by laughing and pointing from afar.

But this type of celebrity humiliation takes the form of a publicly-voted TV dance series, so we’re going to do our best to make some money out of it as well. Today and tomorrow we’ll finish up profiling the betting odds of the Strictly Come Dancing contestants.

It’s all guesswork this week, though, because we don’t know who is able to dance like an angel skipping across the clouds, and who can only lurch around like a wonky 1930s robot.

So here are the betting odds for today’s three Strictly Come Dancing contestants, with some help from Betfair.com

Siobhan Hayes - Siobhan Hayes is possibly most famous for being the
girl in My Family who joined the series after eyebrow girl left. She also had a part in Little Britain, but we’re
not sure exactly who she was. And she was a checkout girl in Iris. OK -
we’ve no idea who Siobhan Hayes is. But can she dance? Buggered if we
know. Current odds - 19/2

Jaye Jacobs - Jaye plays Donna in Holby City. Although she doesn’t
ever explicitly acknowledge it, it looks like Jaye is after lots of FHM
photoshoots by appearing on Strictly Come Dancing. She’s already larked
about in her undies for a camera, and she’s also made vague allusions to
wanting to dress up provocatively for the series. She also looks like she
could go a long way in the competition, as she gives off that whole drama
school/performing arts
vibe. Which puts her head and shoulders above,
say, Dennis Taylor. Jaye also likes Street Jazz, whatever the hell that is.
Current odds - 27/5

James Martin - Finally, someone we recognise! All those years of
watching daytime TV have come in handy at last. James Martin is one of
those TV chefs who is charismatic enough to be on Ready Steady Cook, but not talented
enough to make it to prime-time. He used to wear a bandanna which - let’s
face it - is never a good idea, but he seems to have lost it for this
show. He’s a massive great hulk of a lad, though, so we’re not
confident he’ll do very well. Current odds - 9/1

Tomorrow we’ll finish the pre-season betting odds of three more crazy-footed
celebrities. Or in the meantime, check out the UK TV Special Bets section of Betfair.com to see the very
latest Strictly Come Dancing betting odds for all this season’s
contestants. And you’ll even get free stuff when you join up - look…
