Today, as far as we know, is officially the last gender-separated Strictly Come Dancing you'll see all year; come tomorrow both the male and female Strictly Come Dancing contestants will hoof around the stage like equal opportunity donkeys.
But we're not going to let that happen until we've dealt with the Strictly Come Dancing betting odds for the remaining girl contestants. Yesterday we looked at Jan Ravens, Georgina Bouzova and Claire King's Strictly Come Dancing betting odds. Let's face it, though – watching them dance was like watching a bunch of fish flapping around on a trawler deck. What about the Strictly Come Dancing girls who actually look like they stand a chance of winning?
Here are the Strictly Come Dancing betting odds for Carol Smillie, Louisa Lytton and Emma Bunton, with betting odds from PaddyPower.com…
Carol Smillie – Poor old Carol Smillie. As if having a career that's lurched from The Wheel Of Fortune to The People's Court, Carol Smillie is almost magnetically attracted to shit puns. Case in point: Carol Smillie, who used to present makeover TV show Changing Rooms, danced her Strictly Come Dancing routine to Nine To Five. How many shit puns can you get from that? Not as many as the Strictly Come Dancing judges, that's for sure. "You must have been rehearsing nine to five!" said one. "You should be smiling tonight, because the makeover is working!" said another. "Shut up you tedious bunch of pisswipes," we replied. To our TV. Before feeling a bit ashamed. SCORE: 25 – Current Strictly Come Dancing betting odds – 11/1
Louisa Lytton – Because she's only eight years old, the prospect of jiggling about on Strictly Come Dancing filled Louisa Lytton with extreme fear, and at one point we were genuinely expecting her to vomit directly into the face of her dance partner. That wouldn't have been a bad thing – he gives us the creeps slightly – but Louisa controlled her nerves and impressed everyone with her routine to Don't Get Me Wrong. In fact, Louisa Lytton inspired the daftest Strictly Come Dancing judge's comment of the night: "I can't believe you've been learning the Quickstep for two weeks. You looked fresh out of the 1940s." As it happens, Louisa Lytton is fresh from the 1940s, as her love for powdered egg and profound suspicion of bananas will attest. SCORE: 28 – Current Strictly Come Dancing betting odds – 4/1
Emma Bunton – We weren't expecting Emma Bunton to be a very good dancer if we're honest; we thought the combination of her lack of dancing during her Spice Girls career, her fondness for platform boots and her giant head that makes her dangerously top-heavy would work against her. But we're not too big to admit when we're wrong, and Emma Bunton lit up the judges' faces during her Strictly Come Dancing routine to I Got Rhythm. "I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want. To see it all over again!" said one of them. The official countdown to the time a judge tells Emma Bunton "Well, two really did become one tonight" starts here. SCORE: 33 – Current Strictly Come Dancing betting odds – 2/1
