Strictly Come Dancing Betting Odds: Matt Dawson To Win?
A very strange thing happened on Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing; Emma Bunton – the early favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing, the judges' favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing and the most consistent dancer – was voted off Strictly Come Dancing.
Why was Emma Bunton voted off? Surely it can't be because she isn't popular with the public any more, can it? Well, Emma's elimination from Strictly Come Dancing did happen around the same time that her new album limped to number 65 in the album charts, so it's a real possibility. Something tells us that this long-promised Spice Girls reunion might just be taking place at an abandoned bus shelter if she doesn't a lot more famous a lot more quickly.
But this Saturday is the final of Strictly Come Dancing, so let's focus on that shall we? Tomorrow we'll look at the unfaithful cricketer, but today we're checking out the Strictly Come Dancing betting odds for Matt Dawson…
Matt Dawson – On shows like Strictly Come Dancing, the viewers like to see the contestants go on a journey, and that's exactly what Matt Dawson has had during Strictly Come Dancing – a journey. A bit of a shit journey if we're honest – Matt Dawson has gone from being a terrible clumsy-footed bloke dancer to a painfully mediocre bloke dancer who people inexplicably keep voting for – but a journey nonetheless. Matt Dawson has breezed past the point where several better dancers have failed, simply because he's not quite as inept as he was a few months ago. Endearingly, Matt Dawson is still quite inept at dancing, though – he got the lowest overall score from the Strictly Come Dancing judges on Saturday.
Matt's first dance was a foxtrot to Moondance which impressed the judges, if only because neither of the other better dancers had gone on first yet. "What I loved about that was the simplicity of the choreography," they said in the same tone of voice that you'd address a child who'd given you a rubbish crayon scribble and said it was a portrait of you. And this was Matt Dawson's best dance – his second routine, an Argentine Tango to I've Seen That Face Before, had the judges giving the best insult of the night: "You dance with the sex appeal of a gnat." In theory this means that Matt Dawson really shouldn't have a chance of winning Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday, but that theory was yelling at us that Matt Dawson wouldn't make it past week five, so who the hell knows what'll happen. SCORES: 35 & 30 – Current Strictly Come Dancing betting odds – 11/8

Christ, is this still on? I – like many other cool people – stopped watching when Jimmy Tarbuck bottled it
