On Saturday, the final of Strictly Come Dancing will take place. And everyone wants to know which of the remaining contestants – Zoe, Darren or Colin – will win.
Really, they’re all Strictly Come Dancing winners, in the sense that they’ve proven that they can dance better than Dennis Taylor and the manky-footed newsreader. But which of them will actually win Strictly Come Dancing? Remember, this is your last chance to place a Strictly Come Dancing bet. After this, if you want to place money on a dancing competition, you’ll have to go to some squalid little alley and have wagers on which tramp can dance the best if you ply them with booze. And you don’t want that.
So here, for the final time, are the betting odds to win Strictly Come Dancing, with help from Betfair.com…
Zoe Ball - Strange. All through the series, Zoe Ball has been the
red-hot favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing, and every week the
judges were falling over themselves to blow smoke up Zoe’s bumhole. But
last week, even though Zoe got the highest score from the judges, they
all felt that she was having trouble with her Paso Doble (we’ve all
been there), saying that "it was a bit like a fairground." SCORE – 33
Luckily, her first dance – the Viennese Waltz – was much better, and
one of the judges told her that "You really are such a complete dancer,
I can’t just pick fault at all." SCORE – 36. However, Zoe Ball is going
into the Strictly Come Dancing final as the outsider. Can she turn it
around for Saturday? Current odds – 4.5
Darren Gough - As relentlessly mean as we have been to the
squeaky-voiced cricketer throughout Strictly Come Dancing, we’ll
grudgingly admit that he has done well to be in the final – and beating
a shouting ginger actress and a man who cooks dinners for a living at
dancing too. On Saturday, Darren danced a Waltz that spurred
a judge on enough to tell him that he "had a twinkle in his feet."
Twinkly feet? Sounds like someone’s been taking the wrong amount of
prescription medicine. SCORE – 35
Darren’s second dance was the Samba, which the judges found
"embarrassing." SCORE – 29. We’d have thought that Darren would be the
Strictly Come Dancing outsider going into the final, but the odds say
otherwise. Current odds – 4.2
Colin Jackson – So Colin Jackson looks like he’ll confirm our
suspicions in the Strictly Come Dancing final. Instead of jumping over
fences dressed in ridiculously coloured skintight outfits, he’d rather
be twirling around a room dressed in ridiculously coloured skintight
outfits. And pretty good at it, he is too. Even if he does overdo the
whole effort thing a bit too much. Colin’s first dance on Saturday was
a Waltz, which the judges called "The best ballroom dance of the
night". SCORE – 37
Colin’s second dance of the night was a bit more of a muddle. The
first mistake he made was to try and do an unironic dance to Footloose
- the first time someone has attempted to do so in 15 years. And it
garnered Colin the weirdest judge’s comment of the evening. "In the
beginning, you were like Harry Potter on a Nimbus 2000". SCORE – 30.
However, Colin goes into Saturday’s Strictly Come Dancing final as the
favourite to win the trophy or the crown or the dress or whatever it is
you win on Strictly Come Dancing. Current odds – 1.77
