Digg this!

Carol Smillie Strictly Come Dancing Betting OddsOld Carol Smillie can't cut a decent break, can she? First of all she hosted The People's Court – probably the rubbishest lot of daytime TV nonsense in history – and then she goes and gets kicked off Strictly Come Dancing. Life's unfair, really.

But just because she's been booted off a reality TV show for dancing like a comparative spaz, you can't be too mean to Carol Smillie because she's done a lot better on Strictly Come Dancing than anyone could have expected. On Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing there was Carol – 45-year-old mother of three, DIY expert and sometime unauthorised topless model – up there with the cricketer who can dance well, a Spice Girl, a supple teenage soapstar and a man who is contractually obliged by the BBC to do quite well in all of its reality TV shows, so Carol Smillie should leave Strictly Come Dancing with her head held high, at least until she realises that she's not as good at dancing as that balding rugby player bloke.

But who's going to win Strictly Come Dancing? Here are the Strictly Come Dancing betting odds for Emma Bunton and Matt Dawson

Emma Bunton - On Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing, Emma Bunton had several things going for her. For one thing she didn't have a rubbishy charity single cover version to perform on every awful TV show going, which meant she had a lot more time to concentrate on her two Strictly Come Dancing performances, a waltz to The Way We Were and a Paso Doble. And also, Emma Bunton got to dress up as the filthiest Vegas showgirl in the world, which probably helped a bit. And both of her routines were exceptional, with the Strictly Come Dancing judges wailing about how they represented "the story of dance" – whatever the hell that means – and how her dancing was like "a grand opera." Overall Emma Bunton got the highest marks from the judges on Saturday, and yet she's still the least favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing. We can only assume that this is a protest by viewers who bought her Children In Need single, realised that it was rubbish and vowed not to help her out any more. Matt Dawson – Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to hire Matt Dawson a drama coach to get him more in touch with his emotions. Sure, now Matt Dawson can act his routines out, but it turns out he's more of a Keanu Reeves than an Al Pacino. This means that Matt can just about pull off a buttoned-up Quickstep routine – like Saturday's one to Walking On Sunshine – without any real problems, but when it comes to expressing the fire of a latin dance – say, a rumba – Matt's facial muscles end up flailing around like they don't really understand what's supposed to be going on. This is exactly what happened on Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing, and the judges weren't buying it, describing it as "the seduction that never happened." Not only did it succeed in mostly ruining Matt's chances of winning Strictly Come Dancing, but it also means that he'll never be able to chat up a girl in a bar with any degree of success again.
