All kinds of stars are lending a hand to the RNLI and their ‘Save Our Soles’ campaign.
Nell McAndrew (DVDs) and Jennifer Ellison (DVDs) have dressed up as iconic filmstars for the charity campaign, by wearing stinking trainers instead of classy high-heels.
They’re wearing trainers to promote the ‘Save Our Soles’ campaign. The RNLI want to raise money for some more lifeboats and gloves and things by getting people to wear trainers to work on June 8th, and then paying the RNLI £1 for the privilege.
As well as Jennifer and Nell, Girls Aloud (CDs), Richard Whitely and James Cracknell have all joined in the ‘Save our Soles’ footwear fun. Tamzin Outhwaite and Fearne Britton are also auctioning their honking trainers to raise funds.
When hecklerspray was at school, wearing trainers meant a clip round the ear and an hour locked in a cupboard with an open jar of anthrax. But now, wearing trainers is openly encouraged, and for a good cause, too.

Is this a joke?
Charities have gone too far. Wristbands I could just about put up with, this just seems to be scraping the barrel.
Oh, Nell McAndrew is supporting it. Why does that not surprise me. Nell, i’m sure that you are lovely in real life. But do something other than pose for charity for a change. Please? I asked nicely!
