I nominate Toy Story 2 as better than Toy Story
Star Trek 2 was better than Star Trek 1.
Police Story 2 was arguably better than Police Story
Austin Powers 2 was arguably better than Austin Powers 1
Naked Gun 2 1/2 was better than Naked Gun 1 maybe.
MI:3 was definitely better than MI:1
Spiderman 2 was better than Spiderman 1
Fantastic Four 2 was better than FF1 (but thats not saying much)
AvP 2 was better than AvP1 (but thats not saying much – again)
I would also go for any argument that puts Evil Dead 2 or Army off Darkness over Evil Dead.
These movies are just off the top off my head…so there are probably more that i can’t think of.

whoa whoa whoa- predator 2? arny and a special forces team in the rainforest loses out to danny glover and gangs of ethnic stereotypes? and, let me just say, that predator in part 2 was a wuss. first sign of trouble, out comes the self-destruct.

De Niro totally redeemed himself with ‘Rocky and Bullwinkle’.

Oh wait, no he didn’t…

The original Dawn of the Dead is better than the original Night of the Living Dead, but I really liked the colour remake of NotLD, possibly even more than ‘Dawn…’

That said, I’ve been playing tonnes of ‘Dead Rising’ recently. Absolutely love that game.
