OK kids. This is big news, so excuse the slightly breathless delivery. One of our favourite Slackerjacks of the last year – no, scrap that – one of our favourite Slackerjacks ever has been given a solid gold sequel that's somehow even better that the original. We're talking, of course, about Virtual Villagers 2.
The original Virtual Villagers was a beast of a game – it was a God sim so perfect in every different way that we thought it could never be topped. But now there's Virtual Villagers 2, and it towers above the first game in ways we couldn't even imagine. Just like Virtual Villagers, Virtual Villagers 2 asks you to assign the population of an island various tricks and skills and watch them slowly grow and evolve in real time – even when your computer is turned off. But Virtual Villagers 2 adds children and all sorts of brand new terrain into the mix, and the effect is so giddily impressive that we urge you to have a go. Virtual Villagers 2 is breathtaking, and that's all we can say about it.
