If you had a gun that could rip holes between dimensions, what would you do? Personally we’d find the dimension that allowed us to get more sleep, but that’s not what the protagonist in Portal wants at all.

In Portal you play a man who can blast portal-holes in most surfaces that he can leap through. Why? Because he has a series of rooms he wants to get out of. Shoot a hole in a wall and another in the ceiling and you’ll be able to pass through one and out the other – perfect if you want to scale large walls or the like. Portal’s an imaginative little game, and one that’s really made us want to buy a portal gun. Tearing gigantic rifts in the space/time continuum is where it’s at, kids.
