SLACKERJACK – Play Tennis Better Than Andrew Murray

by 586 MEDIA on June 27, 2005 5 Comments

Balls_to_thisPoor Tim Henman. Everyone’s known that he’s a bit crap at tennis for a while, but he’s been replaced so quickly in the hearts of the fickle British Wimbledon tennis fans that he must be feeling a bit let down. It’s the sporting equivalent of being dumped by your girlfriend and then finding out a week later that she’s getting married.

And Tim must be feeling a bit miffed about who he’s been replaced with. Andrew Murray – a wheezing, gangly teenager who isn’t even fit enough to last a full match – is supposedly the future of British tennis.

So we’ve got a few more years of getting excited about Murray’s chances at Wimbledon and a few more years of watching him do no better than the semi-finals. And don’t even mention the few more years that the American BBC commentators will have to spend pretending that he’s got a realistic chance of ever becoming champion.

But let’s forget about Tin Henman and Andrew Murray and Wimbledon. Dicking around playing this tennis game on your work computer is much more fun than the real thing. It’s realistic too, if you get your fellow office-workers to wear crap Union Jack hats and half-heartedly cheer you on.

Ok, how is Tim Henman crap, he is in the top 20 in the world, and Murray is pure brilliance and he will become a hell lot better, Do you know anything about tennis?

Not too much Ed, though we just won almost £300 on that Fedmeister result and can see that Murray needs some serious physical conditioning if he’s to get the best out of his obvious natural talents.

why have you got to be so negative about things u must have some problems. or maybe your jelouse of other peoples tennis skills. yes he is young but belive it or not people get older and when they get older they get fitter so stop wining about britsh tennis plays. sort yourself out and stop being so pesimistic about people who have the potential to go far…

we find what you say hilarious, it has made our day, we do not think you have problems. The problem about the Brits is that we love to hate people. Everyone will build him up only to knock him down and laugh when he falls.
