SLACKERJACK – Karma
Some games have a simple enough premise – jump the spider, shoot the bear, that kind of thing – but that's not Karma's bag.
In Karma you have to walk your character through a ring of souls into an eternal fire, being reborn each time and wiping out one deadly sin with every turn. Karma sounds deep, and it is – right up to the point where you realise that all Karma involves is drawing a bunch of lines without overlapping them. That doesn't stop Karma from being a brilliantly frustrating game, but it could just as easily be a game about children weeing into a toilet without splashing anyone else.
