SLACKERJACK - Devastation Zone Troopers
Then buzz it up

BOY'S GAME ALERT! OK, so you probably figured that Devastation Zone Troopers was a boy's game thanks to its ludicrous name and the accompanying picture of a giant flamethrowing robot, but Devastation Zone Troopers is a game that deserves an upper-case introduction.
Put simply, Devastation Zone Troopers is an immense, immediate, relentlessly action-stuffed shooter. First on Devastation Zone Troopers you have to guide your dropship through the clouds onto a succession of planets safely, before bursting out and blowing hundreds of enemies up as spectacularly as you can. Devastation Zone Troopers had us hooked from the get-go with its brash playability and - since there are around 50 Devastation Zone Troopers levels - we can imagine that we'd be playing Devastation Zone Troopers for quite some time yet, especially as just about all of the playable environment can be destroyed one way or another. And also, if Devastation Zone Troopers doesn't have the most impressive graphics we've ever seen in a downloadable game, we'll eat our hat. And then blow it up with our space laser.
