SLACKERJACK – Bugatron
The best games console ever was probably the Atari 2600. It had games where you could turn on, blast some baddies to pieces and turn off again. Games like Galaga.
"But today's Slackerjack is called Bugatron, not Galaga," you're now screaming at your computer, to which we will reply "Calm down you oversensitive tit." Bugatron, you see, is an updated version of Galaga. All the bits from Galaga that you loved are in Bugatron, like the swathes of baddies and the growing feeling of power as your little ship manages to see them all off, but Bugatron adds to the formula with fast, smooth, beautiful 3D graphics. This mix of old and new makes Bugatron both retro-cool and futuristic-cool, like the 1980s bar in Back To The Future 2.
