We've always been under the impression that being crushed to death by an object several times larger than you isn't exactly fun, but we'll be darned if Avalanche doesn't want to prove otherwise.
The aim of Avalanche is blissfully clear - you stand on a platform that is slowly being flooded and to survive you need to jump higher and higher up a number of giant falling blocks. But the blocks will crush you if you don't jump with precision timing. Also, mis-time the jump and you'll miss and drown in the water below. Having pointed out how simple Avalanche is, though, we should also tell you that it's more panic-inducing than the face of a murderer appearing at your window at midnight.
