SLACKERJACK – Armed Invasion
Space Invaders is a classic game, but hardly realistic. If blocky aliens really had got it together enough to invade Earth, they'd be smart enough not to jerk down slowly from left to right so any old moron could blow them up.
Armed Invasion is much more like it. In Armed Invasion, you play a lone gun turret trying to defend yourself from waves and waves of soldiers charging at you. And then snipers. And then tanks. While Armed Invasion plays like a horizontal version of Space Invaders, the beauty of the game lies with the upgrades. Wipe out enough soldiers and you're treated to pimp your turret, from extra damage to faster reloading. A word of advice for you – go with the smart turrets. The smart turrets are the difference between you being good at Armed Invasion and you sucking at it beyond all sense of comprehension.
