Sigourney Weaver made her film debut in Woody Allen’s Annie Hall in 1977. However, after having the image of a skivvy-clad Weaver battling a face-eating extraterrestrial in 1979’s Alien forever etched in our brains, who could blame anyone for asking, “Annie who?”
After rocking her best “plumber’s butt” impression in Alien, Weaver went on to reprise the role of Ellen Ripley in all of the main series Alien franchise films. Scoffing at being typecast, Weaver appeared in other sci-fi films, including Ghostbusters I and II, Galaxy Quest, and the blockbuster Avatar.

Although Weaver has worn many interesting costumes throughout her film career, her scantily clad appearance in Alien just goes to prove the age-old adage: Less is more.
