If we were Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie, we'd be burning up with jealousy at the moment. Not only is their baby Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt far more famous than they are, she's also being carved out of a lump of wax.
From today, visitor to Madame Tussauds in New York will be faced with a brand new exhibit – Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt standing in an African-looking nursery staring down loving at Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, the first wax baby ever to go on display at Madame Tussauds. Well, they say it's Shiloh Nouvel – frankly any vaguely baby-shaped lump of pink wax would have probably cut the mustard just as well.
When the weather's as hot as this, there's only one way to justifiably spend any free time you get – and that's plodding round a big building looking at a bunch of shop dummies that look a little tiny bit famous. That's what Madame Tussauds is hoping, anyway, which is why it's today unveiling a tiny dollop of wax that looks a bit like Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.
Ever since Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt was brought into the world by Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and a bunch of doctors with terrifying knives and shit, the world has been overcome by a weird kind of Shiloh Nouvel fever. First Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sold pictures of Shiloh Nouvel for millions of dollars, then the T-shirt that Shiloh Nouvel was wearing in the pictures instantly sold out. Shiloh Nouvel has also turned Brad Pitt into a great American and Angelina Jolie into a funny kung fu tiger.
It's this kind of precocious all-conquering power that has convinced Madame Tussauds to carve out a waxwork Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt and make it the first ever Madame Tussauds baby waxwork. According to Madame Tussauds, the Shiloh Novel Jolie-Pitt waxwork will have her:
"Mom's signature pouty lips and delicate features [and] will lie peacefully inside a woven bassinet [in her] very own African-themed nursery."
What's more, visitors to the creepy house of wax will be able to pose for pictures with the waxwork Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Shiloh Nouvel, with $1 from every photo donated to UNICEF. But you can't have your photo taken with Angelina Jolie's other adopted kids Maddox and Zahara, though. They're rubbish.
