Shia LaBeouf has been pretty quiet these last few months ever since getting clean and sober.? No more punching out homeless dudes, no more wearing a paper bag over his face in public.? It seemed like the jaw dropping storylines with Shia in the middle were done and over with.
But now LaBeouf has done an interesting interview where he revealed some crazy shit that went down during his whole “live art” shtick earlier this year.? And it actually makes me feel bad for the guy.
In the beginning of this?year, Shia LaBeouf decided to regroup after getting caught plagiarizing the shit out his new short film.? The best way to do that was to apparently rent a gallery space in L.A for 5 days and allow tons of people to come in one by one and fuck with him while he sat there in silence.? You know, total doctor approved shit.?? He called it “#IAMSORRY.”
So for 5 days, Shia sat without saying a single word while tons of people waited on line for hours to come in and have a few moments alone with LaBeouf.? Shia revealed that some just stared at him, others cried, some told him he was a fucking weirdo and to man the hell up (side note- no, I have never been to Los Angeles, sheesh).? LaBeouf said some were really terrible and just took selfies with Shia, and that hurt his heart.? Because, they just like didn’t get it, man.
But there was one particular woman who took the whole “You have 5 minute to do whatever you want to me” to a whole fucking other level of inappropriateness. ? And LaBeouf decided to reveal the story IN the winter 2014 issue of Dazed.
“One woman who came with her boyfriend, who was outside the door when this happened, whipped my legs for ten minutes and then stripped my clothing and proceeded to rape me? There were hundreds of people in line when she walked out with dishevelled hair and smudged lipstick. It was no good, not just for me but her man as well. On top of that my girl was in line to see me, because it was Valentine?s Day and I was living in the gallery for the duration of the event ? we were separated for five days, no communication. So it really hurt her as well, as I guess the news of it travelled through the line. When she came in she asked for an explanation, and I couldn't speak, so we both sat with this unexplained trauma silently. It was painful.”
What.The.Fuck.? I mean, seriously what the fuck?? Why is Shia so nonchalant about this?? And I mean, I get it- Shia was really freaking committed to his art and whatnot, but I feel like a woman raping you should kind of be the little asterisk next to the hashtag.? Some fine print on the bottom of the flyers that stated Shia would be an emotionless human statue in all cases except rape, castration, murder, and bukake seems very reasonable.
Now two collaborators who worked on the art piece with LaBeouf have come forward to somewhat confirm?that?this did happen, but they claim it was stopped before it got too far.
Nowhere did we state that people could do whatever they wanted to Shia during #IAMSORRY.

As soon as we were aware of the incident starting to occur, we put a stop to it and ensured that the woman left.

Piers Morgan called out this Luke Turner, asking him why they just let the rapist walk away.
@piersmorgan It wasn’t clear at the time precisely what had happened, & the 1st priority was to ensure everybody's safety in the gallery…1/2

@piersmorgan She ran out, rather than simply walking away. Beyond that, it's not my place to comment. 2/2

Damn, this whole situation is beyond fucked up.? No one knows if police were ever called, or if they have any idea who this woman was.? I can’t believe I am saying this, but I actually feel bad for Shia.?? While the guy is a royal fucking douchebag, this was not cool.? Too bad even magician Shia can’t make it all go away.
