Sharon Stone, star of such classic movies as Catwoman and Sliver, apparently endangered the life of Bono and Bill Clinton by leaving her apartment.
Ah, we’ve made it sound more interesting than it is again…
For a little while earlier this year, Sharon Stone (DVDs) was given the David Hasselhoff Treatment – when a big American star visits the UK
and intrigues everyone in the country. Hasselhoff did it by asking for
elk meat at a restaurant, Val Kilmer did it by puffing and panting his
way around London on a bike, and Sharon Stone did it by filming a
sequel to a notorious erotic thriller here.
Basic Instinct 2 will see Sharon Stone get all randy with a British
police officer. It’s garnered all kinds of faux-shocked publicity, even
if everything about the production screams straight to video.
While Sharon was filming her scenes – possibly just a lot of facial
shots of her going "Oooh" while a body double is made to do all the
really filthy stuff – she stayed in a swanky London apartment, costing around
£3,600 a week. And all was well.
Then 7/7 happened, Sharon got scared and she legged it. But she forgot to clean up first. And when cleaning staff arrived at the
apartment, they found the place was covered in bits of paper with
celebrity phone numbers on them.
A source told The Daily Mirror "There were lots of handwritten
notes, including some Post-Its stuck on the outside of the Yellow
Pages. We were staggered to find these included numbers for Bill
Clinton and Bono."
To be fair, this story could have just read "Sharon Stone left Bono’s phone number on a Post-It note and staggered a cleaner." But where’s the fun in that?
